Highways Volunteer training
Please find information below to sign up to FREE Highways Volunteer training

The Parish Council has a group of volunteers who carry out litter picking, minor vegetation clearance and cleaning of signs.
If you would like to join the group, you are invited to complete the free Highways Volunteer training via Somerset Council.
The training is online and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
You will be supervised and provided with tools and relevant PPE by the Parish Council.
Please follow the steps below to complete the training, then please forward your certificate to The Parish Clerk at

Please find details below:
· Register for the online Highway Safety Awareness course by emailing tlc@somerset.gov.uk (opens in new window). Include ‘highway volunteering’ in the subject line of the email
· You will receive an email with the course link, a username and a temporary password
· Complete the course successfully to receive a certificate of completion
· Read the Highway Volunteer Handbook Highway Volunteer Handbook
· Once the course has been completed you will be able to carry out tasks highlighted by the Parish Council
